My Coaching Philosophy
My goal is to equip you with a roadmap to achieve your goals! Just like any map that would accommodate twists and turns, the plan I write for you will take into consideration logistical scenarios in your life that might be challenges to your running goals. My commitment to you as your coach is to prepare you so that you are running happy and healthy and seeing your hard work pay off!
For the past few years, I have been on and off in my running journey. Monica has been patient and understanding through the entire process. Last year I decided I wanted to go full tilt into running and signed up for a 100 mile ultra marathon. Monica was all in, and while she didn’t have a whole lot of experience with Ultras she did the work and research and provided me with a program that made me feel more than ready for the challenge. She is kind, she is present and she will do whatever it takes to help you cross the finish line. Here’s to many more adventures!

I had been a regular runner and participated in a number of different races each year (anywhere from 5ks to half marathons), but had plateaued in my speed for a couple of years and was becoming frustrated by my lack of progress. It was then that I reached out to Monica for some coaching help. She designed an individual schedule for me for each week and checked in regularly on my progress, adjusting as needed when things didn’t go to plan. In each race Monica coached me for, I PR-ed each time. She was absolutely the difference and I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have coaching me- it was the most overwhelmingly positive experience.
